Entry Cup Italy.
There was again great racing with Twingo Cup cars at Pergusa circuit in Sicily, for the first round of Entry Cup Italy.
In race 1, after several position changes, Giuseppe Marech crossed the finish line first with Manuel Marech and Antonio Salamone literally glued to the exhausts of the Twingos . Salamone, who started from pole position, also set the fastest lap in the race. No less interesting was the duel for the fourth place between Romeo Muccio and Paolo Tartabini in the end the last year vice champion Tartabini claimed the fourth place. In race 2, despite the inverted grid for the first eight positions, we saw almost all the protagonists fighting for the lead thru the whole race but Salamone, who got into the lead at the middle of the race the didnt let it go anymore. Behind him, Giuseppe Marech and Romeo Muccio fought hard fort he 2. place and after several small contacts and position changes, they complete the podium in the upper order, Sebastiano Ansaldo and Michele Leotta completed the top five. Next meeting of the Entry Cup Italy will be held on the weekend of 11 and 12 of May at the Franciacorta circuit in Brescia.
